Attack, I have learned, is the best form of defence. And that’s exactly what Renault is doing with the launch of the all-new Kiger. Bring it on, they are saying to an industry that has seen many Chinese entrants to the market.
Renault has rolled up their sleeves and thrown their hat in the ring, saying they are ready for the competition with the ideally priced Kiger at R219 900. And the Kiger comes with all the bells and whistles. I spent some time at launch in scenic Cape Town.
It was a smooth drive in urban traffic on the major routes. The Kiger looks bold and beautiful with its new look outer appearance. The refreshed interior has plenty of cabin space and is well appointed.
