Zimbabwean practising visual artist, art critic-curator of international stature, Tony Michel Monda received the 2025 Erasmus Art Award for African and oriental art recently for his work, adding another international accolade to his distinguished list of achievements that began in 1986 with the Lancôme L’Art Lumiere Design Award (Fashion Design), Paris, France.
Other awards include: 4th Prize (Graphic Design), Cairns National Wine Label Competition for Mukuyu Wines – National Gallery of Zimbabwe (1987); Merit Award (Painting) – National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Harare (1988); Best Foreign Sculptor Award – Laumeier Sculpture Park, St. Louis, Missouri (1992);
