For small business owners, traders and households grappling with rising costs and limited access to credit, affordable financial solutions can be life-changing.

It is this reality that has driven FINCA Malawi to roll out a new nationwide campaign aimed at bringing inclusive, customer-focused financial services closer to Malawians.

Launching the campaign, dubbed “FINCA Ikoneka Kumeneko”, FINCA Malawi Chief Commercial Officer Madalitso Jonazi said the initiative targets both existing and prospective customers, with products designed to respond directly to the country’s current economic challenges.

“We are very excited to launch this campaign because it is about making sure Malawians can access financial solutions that truly meet their needs. This is our commitment to be available, responsive and closer to our customers,” said Jonazi.

At the centre of the campaign is the enhanced New Village Bank Loan Product, which focuses on supporting entrepreneurs and small-scale investors seeking to grow or stabilise their businesses.

Jonazi said FINCA has reduced the interest rate on the product to four percent, while increasing the maximum loan amount customers can access to K4 million, a move aimed at easing the burden on borrowers during difficult economic times.

“We understand the pressure people are facing. By lowering the interest rate and increasing the loan ceiling, we are giving customers more room to invest, grow their businesses and continue providing goods and services to Malawians,” he said.

The campaign also promotes the Pamodzi Savings Product, which offers customers an opportunity to earn up to eight percent annual interest, positioning it among the most attractive savings options on the local market.

Jonazi said the product is designed to build a strong saving culture, which is critical for long-term business growth and financial resilience.

“For businesses to grow, saving is critical. Pamodzi is designed to help Malawians grow their money and plan for the future. We are inviting all Malawians to come to FINCA so that we grow together,” he said.

In response to changing business trends, FINCA is also pushing FINCA Mobile, a digital banking solution that allows customers to send and receive money across banks, make payments, buy airtime and pay utility bills, including Blantyre Water Board services.

Jonazi said more digital innovations will be unveiled in the coming weeks to further simplify transactions and improve customer experience.

“People now do business digitally. FINCA Mobile makes it easier for our customers to transact, integrate with other financial players and manage their finances conveniently,” he said.

Jonazi emphasised that financial inclusion remains at the core of FINCA Malawi’s operations, with deliberate efforts to reach people who are often excluded from traditional banking systems.

“Our focus is on those who may not easily access conventional financing.
