Saturday .The police has deployed advanced surveillance and tracking methods to apprehend the suspect.In a statement, police confirmed that a multi-unit operation is underway, involving specialised teams and aerial support to flush out the suspect who is believed to be hiding in rugged terrain.“Zimbabwe Republic Police has intensified the search for the suspect with the aid of drone technology and manhunt teams comprising Support Unit, Criminal Investigations Departments, Canine, horse patrols and intelligence units to conduct close surveillance in the forest and mountain where the suspect is alleged to be hiding,” the police said.The brutal killings occurred at Ona Farm in Guruve leaving villagers in fear.Police have since moved swiftly to seal off escape routes while conducting coordinated ground and aerial searches.In a later update, the ZRP also appealed to communities to take mental health issues seriously, warning that ignoring individuals showing signs of instability could have deadly consequences.“As investigations into the murder case which occurred at Ona Farm, Guruve, continue, the ZRP urges relatives and members of the community not to ignore mentally challenged patients or individuals showing signs of mental instability within communities,” police said.“The public is urged to notify the nearest health facility, social welfare office or police station so that the individuals can be referred to qualified professionals for treatment, proper assessment and support.”ZRP national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the police were receiving support from the local community as investigations deepen.Comm Nyathi said the local community, including traditional leaders were working closely with the police.He further revealed that the suspect, identified as Zvitsva is also being investigated in connection with other violent crimes in the area.“Zvitsva is also linked to several recent murders in Zimuna Village, involving victims Pamela Chipangura, Kudzai Chipangura and Tawanda Chipangura, whose cases are under police investigation,” he said.Pamela Chipangura, who was 39 at the time of her death, was killed together with her two children, Kudzai and Tawanda.Police said investigations are ongoing and urged members of the public with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect to immediately report to the
