Shanice Rudolph’s missing body was discovered in a shallow grave at Klip Road cemetery. A second suspect has joined the boyfriend of four-month-pregnant Shanice Rudolph,23, whose body was found buried in a shallow grave at Klip Road Cemetery in Grassy Park, in the dock at the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court. Ashwin Davids and one other, stepped into the courtroom, amid chaos of a bomb scare on Thursday.

Davids is facing a charge of murder for Rudolph, who was last seen in Ouboet Street, Cafda on December 4. It has yet to be confirmed what charges the second suspect is facing. On Tuesday, December 9, Rudolph’s body was found hidden in a shallow grave, on top of another female corpse.

Davids was arrested this week as the investigation intensified surrounding Rudolph’s disappearance with members from the police, missing persons organisations and neighbourhood watch teams. The interviews followed discussions with Rudolph’s family. It is alleged that Rudolph left her home in Lavender Hill apparently with Davids, who claimed he had his car trouble and was making use of the services of a mechanic.
