UncategorizedBy Nicholas F Ncube Harare- PROMINENT businessman and Land Tenure Implementation Committee Chairperson Kudakwashe Tagwirei has categorically distanced himself from social media accounts that claim to represent him or speak on his behalf,Express Mail Zim can report.It is on record that the media shy businessman is not on any social media platform and has not tasked anyone to promote, campaign for him or any proxy online or offline.Sources told this publication that any accounts or pages doing so are rogue and unauthorized.This clarification comes after a fake X (formerly Twitter) account published divisive content falsely linking Tagwirei to political ambitions and attempting to drive a wedge between him and President Mnangagwa.Presidential spokesperson George Charamba swiftly denounced the account as fraudulent and dangerous.> “I have just spoken with Elder Tagwirei. He categorically denies any link with these accounts, including the one falsely operating under the name ‘Land Tenure Programme’,” Charamba said.Charamba further warned that these accounts are likely being run by rogue elements seeking to draw Tagwirei into political battles that are not of his making. He stressed that the Land Tenure Programme is a government initiative under President Mnangagwa’s direct leadership, not an individual’s project.ZANU PF’s Deputy Secretary for Security Tendai Chirau, also confirmed that Tagwirei had nothing to do with the misleading accounts and clarified that the use of “Elder” refers solely to his religious title within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.> “Those using his name to gain political mileage or sow division are acting in bad faith.
Mr. Tagwirei has no presidential ambitions and remains focused on delivering on the President’s directives,” a senior official added.“The public is urged to ignore and report any social media pages claiming to represent Mr. Tagwirei.
