CHIPOLOPOLO coach Moses Sichone has placed rising U-17 stars Jonathan Kalimina and Abel Nyirongo, together with FC MUZA midfielder Kelvin Mwanza, on standby after unveiling the final squad set to represent Zambia at the TotalEnergies 2025 Morocco Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The Zambia national team departed for Spain yesterday, where they will take on Congo DR in a pre-AFCON international friendly match on December 18, a fixture expected to provide crucial insight into the team’s readiness for the continental showpiece. Kalimina and Nyirongo, who were standout performers for Zambia at the 2025 U17 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, were rewarded for their exceptional form by being drafted into the Chipolopolo AFCON squad as reserve players.
