SHIWANG’ANDU PF MP Stephen Kampyongo says the expansion of the cash for work programme to all districts is not sustainable, given government’s failure to pay farmers. In an interview, Wednesday, Kampyongo said government was being hypocritical with the move, adding that it was a misplaced priority. He questioned where the money for the programme would come from if government could not urgently mobilise funds to pay farmers.
“That programme is unsustainable, and it is just a hypocritical move for the government to think that is how they are going to address the poverty levels in the country.
