ZAMBIAN Breweries says it has not been spared by the ongoing energy crisis, stating that maintaining continuity of operations through securing power supplements has been a huge cost to the company. Zambian Breweries also adds that it has recorded a profit after tax of K202 million in six months, compared to a loss of K15 million in 2024. In an interview, Monday, Zambian Breweries Legal and Corporate Affairs Director Tawanda Hojane said due to the ongoing energy crisis, the company had to secure power through energy traders and supplement supply with diesel generators, which had placed additional pressure on operating margins.
