WACTH | Excitement peaks in Pietermaritzburg as Salga DSAC Games wrap up

The Pietermaritzburg Showgrounds is bursting with activity as the closing ceremony for the 2025 Salga DSAC games gets underway. The ceremony will see addresses by Premier Thami Ntuli, uMgungundlovu District Municipality Mayor Mzi Zuma, KZN’s Sports, Arts, Culture MEC Mntomuhle Khawula, and Xolani Dube.

Olympia Hall is almost filled to capacity as the thousands of athletes who descended on the uMgungundlovu district, the host of this year’s games, wait to see which district has emerged victorious in the various sporting codes. While only a few will receive a trophy, it’s evident that all in the hall feel like champions due to the palpable excitement coming from the crowd.
