The 16-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival at Malamulele Hospital after the stabbing. Police in Saselamani, in Limpopo’s Vhembe District, have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old. According to the provincial police, the victim was brought to Malamulele Hospital on Thursday, 4 December, with a stab wound to the chest and was declared dead on arrival.

Preliminary information suggests he was allegedly attacked by the 17-year-old suspect. The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and is expected to appear in the Saselamani Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 8 December. Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing are continuing.
