As the FNB Premiership continues this weekend, all roads lead to Obed Itani Chilume Stadium for a highly anticipated clash between Northern giants TAFIC and Kgatleng giants Mochudi Centre Chiefs, which will be played Saturday night. Matjimenyenga, as TAFIC is affectionately known, has struggled for consistency this season. Sitting in 12th place, they have two wins, four draws, and seven losses from 13 matches, collecting 10 points.

TAFIC has scored eight goals and conceded 16. Their recent form has been mixed, and a 1-3 home defeat to league leaders Gaborone United underlined how much work remains to regain momentum. Despite the home advantage, TAFIC faces a tough assignment against Mochudi Centre Chiefs, who enjoy strong supporter backing.

Chiefs, however, have been inconsistent themselves; in their last five matches they have managed only one win, two draws, and two losses. Currently fifth on the table, Magosi, as they are known, have 21 points from 13 games and a goal difference of +11, having scored 21 and conceded 10. The Chiefsโ€™ attack has been productive, but their defensive lapses have often cost them important points, an they must address ahead of this meeting.

Given TAFICโ€™s home support and Chiefsโ€™ following, the encounter promises to be a closely contested affair and one to watch this Saturday. In other FNB Premiership matches scheduled for this Saturday, Orapa United will host Calendar Stars at Lucara Stadium in Orapa, and Morupule Wanderers will take on Santa Green at Palapye Stadium in Palapye.
