Pay television service provider MultiChoice has announced the removal of fifteen channels from their Dstv platform effective January 1 2026. The channels in question include BET Africa, MTV Base, CNN International, Cartoon Network, Food Network, TNT Africa, Travel Channel, Discovery Family, TLC Africa, CBS Reality and Real Time, CBS Justice and Investigative Discovery Channel. The development comes two months after French-owned global media company Canal+ announced the takeover of MultiChoice Group after acquiring 40 percent shares of the company.
In their communication at the time, Canal+ and MultiChoice Group assured their customers that they would continue to enjoy the same channels. Read the notice: “We are excited to share some news: MultiChoice is now part of Canal+. What does that mean for you?
