The National Youth Football Association (NYFA) has announced the cancellation of both the regional and national finals for this year’s FCB Under-20 Katswiri League as it works to fix organisational challenges that affected the stages in the previous season. NYFA General Secretary Rabson Woodwell confirmed the development, saying the association has opted to conclude the 2025 competition at district level. “We encountered a number of setbacks during last year’s regional and national phases,” said Woodwell.

“Those stages were designed with a player-centric approach,” added Woodwell. “We want to maintain that vision, but we must first address the challenges to ensure the environment is right for the players.” NYFA says consultations and structural adjustments are already underway ahead of the 2026 season.
