Zimbabwe has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its footprint in the competitive French tourism market through a strong presence at this year’s Association des Offices Nationaux Étrangers de Tourisme (ADONET) Rencontres Travel Media and Trade event in Paris — a premier platform that brought together 54 international destinations.
In an update, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) said: “Zimbabwe enhanced its visibility in the French market through its participation at the Association des Offices Nationaux Étrangers de Tourisme (ADONET) Rencontres Travel Media and Trade event in Paris, a premier gathering of 54 international destinations.”
During the exhibition, Zimbabwe held high-level engagements with major French publications, including TourMag and Le Quotidien, which expressed strong interest in profiling the country’s diverse tourism offering, a development expected to significantly boost the country’s visibility among French travellers.

The delegation also explored new cultural and culinary collaborations.
“Discussions also explored opportunities to feature Zimbabwean Gastronomy on renowned French television channels such as ARTE and SFX, further positioning the country as a culturally rich and sustainable destination.”

The European nation remains one of Zimbabwe’s priority long-haul markets, with travellers known for longer stays and strong interest in nature, culture and sustainable tourism experiences.
The ZTA noted that the country’s presence at the event demonstrated Government’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with key industry players, improving destination competitiveness and expanding marketing channels.
“Zimbabwe’s presence at ADONET underscored its commitment to deepening partnerships and enhancing destination appeal within the competitive French Tourism market,” ZTA added.
