The event brings together elite solo dancers and top crews from not just the African continent but across the globe. This will be the second Undisputed event in South Africa, after the success of the breathtaking first edition that rocked the Mother City earlier this year at a packed V&A Waterfront. This qualifier leads directly to the Undisputed World Final in Tokyo, taking place in March 2026. Winners in Solo and Crew (5vs5) categories will book themselves a trip to Japan to represent their region on the world stage.

Set against the backdrop of Cape Town’s iconic V&A Waterfront, the event is free to attend and open to all ages, celebrating not just sport, but the full spectrum of Hip Hop culture and community, with its strong connection to the city. Tyrone van den Meer, Project Lead of theFUJIFILM InstaxUndisputed Breaking World Championship, notes his excitement about heading back to South Africa. “After the success of our first event in Cape Town earlier this year, there was no doubt we would return to the Mother City,” he says.

Van der Meer confirms what local breaking talent was hoping for, noting, “We are excited to make Cape Town one of the official stops in the Undisputed series going forward.” Those in attendance on the 6th will witness an electrifying lineup that includes the world’s top breakers alongside Africa’s finest.
