NewsPoliticsBy Sipiwe NyoniBulawayo- THE Siyazenzela campaign mobement has withdrawn its candidate, Khumbulani Malinga from the Nkulumane parliamentary by-election and reassigned him to a senior development role within the National Community Development Committee (NCDC), the movement announced Sunday.In a statement issued by campaign spokesperson Irene Moyo, Siyazenzela said the decision followed “extensive consultations with constituency leadership and residents,” which concluded that Malinga would better serve Nkulumane through a direct development focused portfolio rather than active political campaigning.According to the statement, Malinga has taken up the Chief of Staff position in the office of the NCDC Chairman where he will oversee the execution of community development projects.Moyo emphasized that the move should not be interpreted as the collapse of the campaign machinery, but rather a strategic shift in priorities.“This is a move from the podium to the engine room.
