Public Not Required To Replace Transformers Or Pay For Repairs – ZETDC

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of ZESA Holdings, has said the public is not required to replace transformers or any other electricity infrastructure in the event of faults, nor to pay anyone to carry out repairs. In a public notice issued on Thursday, 20 November, ZETDC said the matter is under investigation to determine the cause of the fire and verify the claims circulating online. “We strongly urge the Kambuzuma residents and the public at large not to pay any individuals for service or material replacement.
