chitungwiza- young people in chitungwiza will soon have a clearer career pathway after completing school following a new partnership between deutsch connect, a germany-based talent mobility organisation and agy academy which is a fast-growing institution in chitungwiza. the partnership aims to equip students and alumni of agy academy with german language training and access to apprenticeship, study and work opportunities in germany under the country’s world-renowned dual apprenticeship system. speaking at the announcement deutsch connect founder and ceo, kumbirai chipadza said the collaboration was designed to give young people from chitungwiza real prospects for global success while easing the pressure on parents to find career options for their children after completing o or a levels.

“we are proud to partner with agy academy in chitungwiza. this partnership gives young people from the community the opportunity to access germany’s apprenticeship system where they can earn while they learn, gain international experience and return as empowered professionals,” said chipadza. “it’s a win-win for both zimbabwe and germany and it removes the burden from parents wondering what comes next after o or a levels. this is not brain drain, it’s brain gain.” through the partnership, agy academy students will have access to german language lessons (a1 to b1 levels) taught by certified instructors, digital learning tools to support flexible study and exchange visits for top performing students and school leaders.

chipadza said a structured and sustainable is an initiative designed to provide a structured and supervised pathway into germany’s apprenticeship system where students combine classroom learning with paid, hands-on training in fields such as healthcare, engineering, hospitality and technology. under the apprenticeship model, participants can earn between €800 and €1,200 per month making it both an educational and financial opportunity. chipadza explained that the programme’s comprehensive nature ensures young zimbabweans are well-prepared for their new environment before departure including cultural orientation, visa guidance and post-arrival support.

“this partnership creates opportunities for our youth to learn, earn, and return as skilled professionals ready to contribute to zimbabwe’s growth. it’s about creating value on both sides for germany, which needs skilled workers and for zimbabwe which gains globally trained professionals,” he said. he said the partnership brings a range of benefits for agy academy families. it comes with a fully paid apprenticeships in germany reducing financial pressure on parents. source: expressmail zimbabwe
