News / NationalFuzwayo Denies ZANU-PF Links in Planned Constitutional Court Challenge Against 2030 Agendaby By Stephen Jakes3 hrs ago |86ViewsBULAWAYO – Human rights activist and Ibhetshu LikaZulu Secretary General Mbuso Fuzwayo has dismissed allegations that his organisation’s planned Constitutional Court challenge against the ZANU-PF-led 2030 agenda is a staged legal manoeuvre designed to legitimise President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s extended tenure.Fuzwayo’s response follows claims made by investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, who alleged that the court application was deliberately crafted to fail—thus setting a legal precedent that would allow Mnangagwa’s rule to extend to 2030 without further challenge.“I have been made aware by judicial sources of allegations that two Bulawayo-based applicants have been identified to file a constitutional application intended to be dismissed to advance the 2030 agenda,” Chin’ono posted.

He named Fuzwayo and Ibhetshu LikaZulu as the applicants and alleged that the application was prepared by a young advocate linked to ZANU-PF politician Itayi Ndudzo.Chin’ono further claimed that the strategy mirrors previous legal manipulations, referencing the controversial 2016 case involving law student Romeo Zibani, which resulted in a ruling that gave the President unilateral power to appoint the Chief Justice.Fuzwayo, however, rejected the claims outright. “There is nothing like that. We have been against Agenda 2030,” he said.
