Innocent Kurira, Zimpapers Sports HubFormer Warriors international Zenzo Moyo is among four candidates vying for the post of chairman in the upcoming Zifa Southern Region elections set for next month.According to the list of candidates who have paid nomination and election fees in full and are proceeding to the ethics and vetting stage, Moyo will contest against incumbent Lloyd Munhanga, Tatenda Mtungwazi, Tawanda Tali and Samkeliso Silengani.For the vice-chairperson post, Tafadzwa Mutowa, Cathrine Mavada, Martin Mhlanga and Elton Sinyosi have submitted their nomination papers.Competing for the four available positions on the board are Tizirayi Luphahla, Lovemore Kuvheya, Prince Nyoni, Blessing Mbwanda and Tatenda Ncube.In the women’s football leadership race, Silengani is uncontested for the chairperson position.
No nominations were submitted for the vice-chairperson role, while Sibekiwe Ndlovu was the sole nominee for a board position.The nomination phase opened on 6 October for all eligible candidates across the game’s key structures, including Area Zones, Beach Soccer, Futsal, Provincial, Women’s Regional and Men’s Regional Leagues.Leave a ReplyCancel reply
