By Showbiz Reporter— South African Afro-pop sensation Mafikizolo will headline this year’s edition of the Jacaranda Music Festival, set to take place in October.
Festival Director Walter Wanyanya confirmed that the annual event will run from October 3 to 5 at the Thornpark Polo Grounds in Harare.
“The Jacaranda Music Festival is back this year and will be held from October 3 to 5. We’ve announced the first phase of our lineup, which includes Murumba Pitch, Mafikizolo, and Vusi Nova from South Africa. We also have local acts like Agga Nyabinde, DJ Ace, and DJ Spunj.
More artists will be announced in the coming days,” said Wanyanya.
In addition to the performances, a series ofpre-festival workshopsare scheduled to help connect local artists with international music industry professionals.
“As always, we will hold workshops ahead of the festival to give local artists a chance to learn from experts in the field. Representatives from record labels, corporates, and seasoned speakers will be present to share insights and support our artists’ development,” Wanyanya added.
Launched in2018, the Jacaranda Music Festival has grown into Zimbabwe’s leading music-industry incubator, renowned for its genre diversity and commitment to nurturing local talent by creating platforms for collaboration with international stars.
