Kigali, Rwanda, 22 October 2025– Dr. Agnes Kiragga, Head of the Data Science Program at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), has said research institutions play an important role in driving the uptake of artificial intelligence (AI).
The scientist said that for Africa to thrive in the age of artificial intelligence, research institutions must lead the way with data-driven insights, inclusive policies, and local context at the core.
