Katizagombo — In a powerful effort to pass down Zimbabwe’s rich cultural legacy,Headman Katizagomborecently gathered over 2,000 young people for a program centered on cultural education andyouth empowerment. Speaking at the event,Headman Katizagomboemphasized the importance of grounding youth in cultural practices to help guide them on a positive path. Preparing traditional dishes such as mancuchu (rice), and He also encouraged the youth to embrace farming, dress modestly, and avoid destructive behaviors.
Representing the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Permanent Secretary Josephat Jaji conveyed appreciation to First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa for initiating and championing the cultural revival. In the Minister’s message, read by Jaji, young people were warned of the dangers of substance abuse—citing its links to early marriage, mental health issues, and even premature death. The youth were urged to prioritize self-development and community values.
District Development Coordinator (DDC) Manyurapasi officially welcomed attendees and thankedHeadman Katizagombofor hosting the event at his homestead. He commended the Headman’s leadership and his dedication to preserving Zimbabwean traditions.
