The gesture has been welcomed as a befitting honour for a footballer who brought pride to the nation through his exploits on the pitch.

In a statement, the funeral services provider expressed its condolences:“Zororo Phumulani joins the football family in mourning the loss of Tendai Ndoro.

It is our humble duty to ensure he is repatriated with dignity, so that his family and countrymen may give him a proper send-off,” the company said.

Fans, former teammates, and football administrators have praised the gesture with popular sports fanatic and administrator Tendai Zhakata popularly known as T Bunz leading the pack. “Thank you Farai(Matsika) for the initiative,” he said.

In his hey day , Ndoro dazzled fans with his sharp finishing and attacking flair. “We will be remember him as one of Zimbabwe’s finest football exports,” said T Buns.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
