Story by Yolanda MoyoA TOTAL of 15 000 beneficiaries have been selected to receive offer letters in Bulawayo’s Cowdray Park suburb, marking the beginning of the city’s roll-out of the Kwangu/Ngakwami Presidential Title Deeds Programme.The initiative, which was officially launched on Saturday, has been hailed as a historic moment of empowering residents.The Presidential Title Deeds Programme was initiated in 2023 with the intention of curbing widespread fraudulent activities related to forged title deeds and property theft.The programme is inherently linked to a comprehensive master plan for Cowdray Park, ensuring the issuance of title deeds is accompanied by improvements in key areas such as road network rehabilitation, sewer reticulation, and the provision of essential services for the suburb’s massive population base.Roads, sewer and water infrastructure works are set to commence in January 2026.The successful implementation in Cowdray Park under phase one serves as a powerful demonstration of the government’s commitment to its inclusive development agenda, Vision 2030, which aims to leave no one and no place behind.
