KitKat is not giving up on finding its missing chocolate Nestlé is determined to recover its missing chocolate, as KitKat launches a public tracker aimed at locating the stolen shipment. More than 400,000 KitKat bars, weighing approximately 12 tonnes, were stolen when a truck transporting the shipment vanished while travelling from Italy to Poland. The vehicle and its cargo remain missing, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.

In a short post on X formerly (Twitter), the company said the incident was not a publicity stunt or an April Fool’s joke, but a real case of cargo theft, adding that it has launched a “Stolen KitKat Tracker” to help trace the missing chocolate. The tracker works by asking customers to locate the eight-digit batch code on the back of their KitKat bar and enter it online. It then confirms whether the chocolate is from the stolen shipment, and if not, users are encouraged to share the tracker to help spread the search further.
